Lagos Government Denies Demolishing Peter Obi's Brother’s Property
The Lagos State Government has refuted allegations made by former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, concerning the demolition of a property reportedly owned by his brother. The government described the claim as misleading and insisted that no agency under its jurisdiction carried out such an action.
In an official statement, the state clarified that the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), often responsible for enforcement actions on buildings, was not involved. “We categorically state that LASBCA or any other arm of the Lagos State Government did not carry out the said demolition,” the statement read.
The government urged members of the public to remain calm and avoid drawing conclusions based on unverified claims. It also assured that it remains committed to upholding citizens’ rights and following due process in all regulatory matters.
