Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has strongly refuted claims that he plans to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to any other political platform. In a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor described the rumours as fake news and a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.
Adeleke reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP and assured party members of his continued leadership in Osun. He emphasized that his administration remains focused on delivering his five-point development agenda and will not be distracted by baseless speculations. The governor also urged the public to disregard such falsehoods.
Supporting Adeleke’s stance, Osun PDP Chairman, Sunday Bisi, stated that the governor is not part of any coalition with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar under the ADC banner. He noted that Adeleke remains a key stakeholder in the PDP and is dedicated to strengthening the party ahead of future elections.
