Tambuwal Declares Support for ADC, Affirms Loyalty to PDP
Senator Aminu Tambuwal has stirred the political waters with a bold declaration of support for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) while affirming his continued membership in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Speaking at a political gathering, Tambuwal stated, “We’re still members of PDP, and we’re going nowhere, but we will work for ADC.”
The former Sokoto governor attributed this political maneuver to what he described as the "Wike style of politics" — a reference to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s recent history of cross-party alliances while remaining in the PDP. Tambuwal hinted that this strategy offers flexibility in pursuing political interests while maintaining party loyalty.
His comments have sparked discussions across political circles, with many analysts saying it reflects ongoing realignments ahead of 2027. Observers note that such dual support tactics may become more common in Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
