The well-attended event brought together traditional rulers, political leaders, professionals, and members of the Remo diaspora in a colorful and symbolic celebration of unity, culture, and the shared aspiration for progress in Remoland.
The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, led the royal delegation and was celebrated for his tireless role in promoting Remo unity across borders. The presence of the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun, CON, further emphasized the significance of diaspora engagement in state development. In his remarks, the Governor praised the contributions of Remo Growth and Development Foundation, Remo indigenes abroad and called for strengthened collaboration between home and diaspora communities.
Distinguished leaders including Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Hon. Ladi Adebutu,Otunba Seni Adetu and several other dignitaries graced the event, expressing support for sustained unity and investment in Remo’s future.
Hon. Elegbeji, warmly received by diaspora constituents, expressed her deep appreciation for their support during the electioneering period and reiterated her dedication to inclusive and participatory representation. In her address, she stated:
"This mandate belongs to every Remo son and daughter at home and abroad. I am committed to ensuring that our diaspora community remains a key voice in the shaping of policies and initiatives that affect our homeland."
The celebration featured traditional music, cultural displays, community interactions, and renewed pledges from leaders and citizens to continue advancing Remo’s shared goals.
As the newest Member-Elect of the House of Representatives from Remo Federal Constituency, Hon. Elegbeji used the opportunity to connect with community groups, women leaders, and the youth in diaspora, signaling her intention to maintain strong ties beyond borders.
