Queen Mercy Atang Rejects Ex-Lover’s Valentine Message, Says She Has Moved On

Reality TV star and former BBNaija housemate Queen Mercy Atang has publicly dismissed an ex-boyfriend’s attempt to reconnect with her, describing the message as inappropriate and badly timed. She shared a screenshot of the message on social media on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2026, expressing disappointment over the outreach.

Atang, who confirmed that her marriage to David Oyekanmi ended in 2025, stated that the same ex had allegedly spread false stories about her around the time of her wedding in 2024. She explained that although the situation hurt her deeply, she chose to remain silent publicly and leave the matter to fate, while her friends defended her online.

Reflecting on the recent message, the reality star questioned her ex’s intentions and made it clear that she is not desperate for love. She revealed that the relationship dated back to her student days at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, adding that once a relationship ends, she does not revisit it.
