Ogun Assembly Speaker and South-West Vice Chairman of the Progressive Speakers Conference Champions Youth Education with Barrier-Free UTME Support
Rt. Hon. Daisi Olusegun Victor Elemide, Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly and South-West Vice Chairman of the Progressive Speakers Conference, has once again demonstrated unwavering commitment to educational empowerment by fully sponsoring free registration for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for students across Odeda Local Government.
Through this initiative, eligible students from all ten (10) wards received completely free JAMB forms, including the provision of E-Pins and complete biometric capturing services. By removing financial barriers, the programme significantly enhances access to tertiary education opportunities for young people in the area.
The programme was officially held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Youth House, Odeda Local Government Secretariat, Odeda, with active participation from students eager to prepare for their future academic pursuits.
Representing the Speaker, Hon. Shotunde Akeem Jimoh—former Councillor of Odeda Ward 1 and Special Adviser on Special Duties—expressed deep appreciation for this impactful support. He advised the beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity by remaining committed, disciplined, and focused on their studies, ensuring excellent performance in the UTME and successful admission into their preferred higher institutions.
Comrade Ajani Mufutau Alamu, Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Odeda Local Government Chapter commended Rt. Hon. Elemide for sponsoring this wide-reaching programme that benefits students throughout all ten wards.
