Speaking at the event, the Sports Maste, , OMOBA ADEBANJOADETOLA, described the competition as more than a display of athletic ability.

“Today is more than a display of athletic ability; it is a celebration of discipline, teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship,” he said.

“As an institution committed to holistic education, we are deliberate in nurturing learners who are confident, responsible, resilient and globally engaged.

He stressed that sports and physical education are essential to youth development, promoting teamwork, discipline, leadership and healthy competition.

He said that the prophetic guidance aligns with modern sports education and youth development.

OMOBA ADEBANJO also appreciated sponsoring families that assisted us in making sure that all learners in the school close to four hundred got FREE sport wears, free foods and drinks, giving us trophies, medals and exercise books as gift for athletic most especially THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF OGUN STATE, PRINCE (DR.) DAPO ABIODUN CON, AS THE PATRON OF YELLOW HOUSE, SIR (CHIEF) KESINGTON ADEBUKUNOLA ADEBUTU GCON, THE ODOLE OODUA OF THE SOURCE, HON. SAKA OLUGBENGA, SSA DIGITAL MEDIA TO THE MINISTER OF AVIATION AND AEROSPACE DEVELOPMENT, DR. TIWALADE ADENIYI , THE GENERAL MANAGER, ESG, IPRFZE, OGUN STATE, ALHAJI TAOFEEK ODUBITAN, THE CEO D BAY HOTEL, IPERU REMO AND ALSO MR. AND MRS. SOLOMON AFOLABI OLAWALE support funded various houses in the competition.

He described their contributions as a reflection of strong home-school partnership in nurturing excellence and confidence in children.

Head of School, MRS AKINWUNMI SAKIRAT M. said the inter-house sports aligned with the school’s tripod of academic excellence and talent discovery.

“Today’s event is another medium for us to discover new talents in sports. Our learners went through rigorous training sessions in various sporting activities to prepare adequately for this event,” She said.

She added that the school’s consistent record in external competitions, including recent achievements in science and mathematics competition and public speaking contests, demonstrated its commitment to raising globally competitive learners.

HON. WALE OYEKOYA (BAMA) encouraged the learners to see themselves as champions.

HON. (MRS.) JAMIU ASIMI , the wife of the executive chairman of Ikenne local government advised the learners to see themselves as colleagues in sports but not enemies. You are all winners and no one is a loser. Give your best and rely on God for the rest,” she advised.

The competition featured track and field events, football and other sporting activities, with organisers expressing hope that this edition would lay the foundation for a strong and enduring sporting tradition in the school.
