𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: FIFA have confirmed several NEW RULES for the 2026 World Cup!

 

These changes are designed to reduce time-wasting, improve game flow, and give officials more control over key decisions. 

 Throw-in Countdown (5 Seconds)

Players who deliberately delay a throw-in risk losing possession to the opposition.

Goal-Kick Countdown (5 Seconds)

Time-wasting from goal-kicks could now result in a corner kick being awarded to the opposing team.

 Time-Limited Substitutions (10 Seconds)

Substituted players must leave the pitch within 10 seconds. Fail to do so, and their replacement must wait at least one minute before entering, leaving the team with 10 men.

 Off-Field Treatment (60 Seconds)

Players receiving treatment must remain off the pitch for one minute before returning, with a few exceptions.

 Covering the Mouth During Confrontations 

Players who cover their mouths while confronting opponents could face a RED CARD.

VAR Can Review Corners 

VAR can now quickly check whether a corner kick was correctly awarded before play restarts.

 Second Yellow Cards Can Be Reviewed 

Players sent off for a second booking may have that second yellow reviewed after the decision.
