Every third week in the
month of November goes agog in Ipara Remo under Remo North Local Government area of Ogun State, Nigeria.
Indegenes home and abroad converge on the town to take part in the week long annual festival which speaks to promoting the town's rich cultural heritage and contribution to the development of the town.
The 2023 Oguola Day celebration is themed IPARA OF OUR DREAMS: Our Collective Effort.
The anniversary the 32nd of it's kind kicks off on Monday, 13th November 2023, with Oguola rites followed by the hunting expedition, free Medical service, Baby show, and indoor games like Ayo Olopon and draughts competition on Tuesday.
Wednesday has been scheduled for the Artisan display and table tennis game, while Thursday the 4th day will be for Egungun cultural display and DJ night.
On Friday, there will be an educational program, Jumat service at the central mosque , candle light possession, and youth variety night.
The grand finale will hold on Saturday 18th November 2023 at United Primary School playground where Amb. ASIMIU AJEBORI and King Saheed Osupa will be on ground to entertain the guests.
While Thanksgiving service takes place on Sunday the 19th of November and Agemo Cultural Dance.
The Royal Host of the day, HRH Oba Taiwo Taiwo the Onipara of Ipara will be on hand to receive dignitaries from far and wide including HRM Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, The Akarigbo, Paramount Ruler of Remo land and Chairman Ogun State Council of Obas, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, the Executive Governor of Ogun State and other invited guests.
