Israel Launches Airstrikes on Six Iranian Airports
The Israeli military has confirmed carrying out coordinated airstrikes on six airbases across western, eastern, and central Iran. These strikes reportedly destroyed 15 military aircraft including fighter jets and helicopters and severely damaged runways, underground hangars, refueling planes, and additional military infrastructure.
Targets included airports near major cities like Tehran, Mashhad, and Dezful, as well as sites in the strategically key Kermanshah region.
The U.S. remains involved via its support and recent direct action, and global concern over broader regional conflict continues to mount.
Diplomats from China, Russia, and the EU are calling for de-escalation, while the U.S. has urged China to help calm the situation.
Already, Brent crude prices have surged, and there are increasing concerns of further oil supply disruptions .
