Atiku, David Mark, PDP Leaders Hold Crucial Closed-Door Meeting Over 2027 Coalition Plans

A high-powered meeting of top Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders is currently underway at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Senate President David Mark, and other party stalwarts are deliberating on whether to fully merge into the proposed 2027 coalition party or maintain PDP's structure while forming a broader electoral alliance.

The meeting, held behind closed doors, also has in attendance former governors Sule Lamido, Aminu Tambuwal, Liyel Imoke, Babangida Aliyu, and Sam Egwu. Party heavyweights such as Uche Secondus, Josephine Anenih, Austin Akobundu, Kola Ologbondiyan, and Ben Obi are also actively participating in the talks, signaling the gravity of the realignment discussions.
