Dangote Refinery Denies Shutdown Rumour, Confirms PMS Gantry Price at ₦850

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has dismissed rumours suggesting a shutdown of its operations, assuring the public that petrol loading and supply remain steady. The management emphasised that the sale of Residual Catalytic Oil (RCO) is part of normal business transactions and should not be misconstrued as a sign of operational distress.

In a statement on Friday, the refinery confirmed that the gantry (ex-depot) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is now ₦850 per litre. This follows the resumption of loading activities after a one-week suspension, during which the price rose from ₦820 per litre — representing a 3.66 per cent increase.

The company reiterated its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply across the country while working to maintain stable market prices. Stakeholders have been urged to disregard unfounded reports and rely on official communications for accurate information regarding refinery operations.
