Your husband is now the boss – Femi Otedola to daughter, Temi

Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola jokingly told his daughter Temi at her wedding to singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, in Iceland that her husband is now “the boss.”

In a video from the ceremony on Friday, Otedola said to Temi: “He’s your husband and he’s your boss. There’s no more dad. Don’t call me.”

The wedding took place on August 8 at Hallgrímskirkja Church in Reykjavík and was attended by family and friends, including Temi’s mother Nana Otedola, her sister Florence “DJ Cuppy” Otedola, and businessman Aliko Dangote.

Otedola recalled first meeting Mr Eazi in 2017 and said he had predicted then that the singer would one day marry his daughter. He also spoke about the challenges of planning the wedding, including an earlier engagement in Dubai and a storm that damaged their tent a week before the Iceland ceremony.

He credited his wife Nana for raising their children while he focused on business, encouraged Temi to stay committed to her marriage, and advised the couple to keep family matters private.

Temi and Mr Eazi had their civil wedding in Monaco on May 9, followed by a traditional Yoruba ceremony in Dubai in July. The couple got engaged in April 2022, four years after meeting at an event organised by DJ Cuppy.
