‘I’m Not a Coward, I Won’t Join APC,’ Bala Mohammed Fires Back Over Terror Allegations

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has described allegations of terrorism financing linked to his administration as politically motivated, accusing the EFCC and the federal government of attempting to intimidate him for refusing to defect to the ruling APC.

Reacting to the arraignment of his commissioner for finance and three others over terrorism financing and money laundering charges, the governor said mentioning his name despite his constitutional immunity was an attempt to criminalise opposition figures and silence dissent.

Mohammed insisted his administration had continued to deliver on health, education and governance despite limited federal support, vowing to resist what he called the weaponisation of state institutions while reaffirming his commitment to transparency and national development.
