To strengthen support ahead of the 2027 general elections, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid has received a boost in Ogun State, as Hon. Jelil Kayode Amusan announced his sponsorship of the Asiwaju Support Group across the state.

Hon. Amusan made this known during the Asiwaju Support Group Ikenne Chapter meeting held on February 12, 2025. Addressing members and supporters, he reaffirmed his commitment to mobilizing grassroots backing in support of President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

According to him, the initiative is aimed at fostering a well-structured and coordinated support system that will span from the state level down to local government and ward levels. He emphasized the need for a recognized and functional structure to effectively drive the course of the 2027 elections.

Hon. Amusan also pledged to ensure that the support base is strengthened across Ogun State, noting that collective effort and proper organization would be key to achieving success at the polls.

The meeting was attended by members of the Ikenne chapter and other stakeholders, who expressed optimism about consolidating support for the President in the build-up to the next general election.
