Don Jazzy has dismissed claims that Mavin Records prioritises certain artistes over others, insisting every act under the label receives equal support.
Speaking during an interview on the Crea8torium podcast, the music executive explained that the difference in song releases among Mavin artistes is mostly based on personal decisions rather than favoritism from the label.
According to him, some artistes struggle with pressure, self-doubt and overthinking, which can slow down their output despite having enough songs ready for release.
“We do see lots of comments that we do not prioritise some artists. But that isn’t true. We invest in people to make us and themselves money,” he said.
Don Jazzy added that if any artiste wants to release more music, the label is always willing to support the process, stressing that there is “no such thing as prioritising one artist over another” at Mavin. 🎶
