University of Abuja Elects First Female SUG President

Eyamu Oghenenyerovwo Peculiar, a 300-level student of Tourism and Hospitality Management, has made history as the first female President of the University of Abuja Students' Union Government.

She emerged winner of the 2025/2026 SUG election conducted via a digital voting platform, campaigning with the slogan, "Everything Peculiar, Nothing Is Ordinary."

Reacting to her victory, Peculiar thanked students for believing in her vision, describing her election as a win for every young woman and for leadership built on competence, character and service rather than gender.
