Infrastructure takes the biggest share with ₦526.15bn, followed by Education (₦275.40bn) and Health (₦210.59bn). The state expects ₦509.88bn from IGR and ₦554.81bn from federal allocations.
Governor Abiodun said the budget will fast-track key ISEYA projects, support job creation, boost revenue, and align with national development goals. He noted Ogun’s GDP has grown to ₦17trn, while IGR has jumped from ₦52bn in 2020 to ₦192bn in 2024, with ₦250bn projected for 2025.
Highlights include the fully certified Gateway International Airport, over 1,500km of roads built or rehabilitated, and upcoming major events like the Gateway Afrobeat Drum Festival and the state’s 50th Anniversary.
Speaker Oludaisi Elemide praised the Governor for steady development and confirmed that 11 bills and 56 resolutions have been passed in the last year to support governance, security, and community development.
