Prince Adewale Oluwaseun Adeshina, popularly known as FeelingCool and Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor on Works and Infrastructure, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Ijebu North II (Ifelodun Constituency).
The declaration was made during a strategic meeting with executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ifelodun Constituency caucus, held at the residence of the Ijebu North APC Chairman, Hon. Mosunmola Oladipo, at Konigba Junction, Ago-Iwoye.
Welcoming the aspirant, Hon. Oladipo described Prince Adeshina as a man of proven character, highlighting his gentility, humility, philanthropic nature, and capacity as a grassroots mobilizer and party unifier. He noted that FeelingCool has remained consistent in his commitment to the growth and unity of the APC in Ijebu North.
Addressing the party leaders, Prince Adeshina appealed for their support ahead of the APC primaries, assuring them of purposeful and people-oriented representation if given the mandate. He anchored his aspiration on a core message framework of loyalty, performance, accessibility, and alignment.
He recalled his sacrifice for party unity in 2022 when he stepped down, stressing his unwavering loyalty to the APC. Speaking on performance, he noted that his current role in government has exposed him to governance and provided opportunities to mobilise support for the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Describing himself as accessible, Adeshina emphasized his deep grassroots connection and people-first approach, pledging to remain close to constituents at all times. He also assured that his experience as a former Governor’s Liaison Officer and current SSA would enhance synergy between the legislative and executive arms for accelerated development.
In their separate remarks, party leaders expressed confidence in his aspiration. High Chief Olota affirmed that Prince Adeshina has “paid his dues” and the opportunity to serve, while the Chairman of Ward 9, Alhaji Araba, offered prayers for his success.
Members of his entourage also vouched for his character, assuring party executives that he would uphold party supremacy, respect leadership, and never disappoint the APC.
The meeting was attended by notable stakeholders including Hon. Mrs. Ikeade Adegbesan, Prince Taiwo Oduala, Prince Control Adesegun, Mrs. Ronke Mustapha, Mr. Layode Adewunmi, Ẹgbẹ́ Bobasete Ago-Iwoye, Otunba Ademola Adewusi, youth representatives, and supporters from across the five political wards of Ifelodun Constituency.
The visit marks a significant step in Prince Adeshina’s political journey as consultations intensify ahead of the party primaries.
